Struggle agains and for myself
Sexual revolution seemed to be over, yet there is a new revolution within the topic. Transgender* people are coming on the floor. People who advocate that self identification as a woman or a man varies from the genetic sex.
It is about people who despite the strong ostracism, intolerance, lack of knowledge and misunderstanding and many other problems are strong enough to fight for their proper identity. Sometimes it is a struggle against the communities their live in, sometimes against law, and above all it is a struggle against nature which has made a mistake.
This is a deep and complicated problem both biologically and psychologically, leading many to suicides. Transexual people often live two lives.
In the year 2011 first openly transgender* Member of Parliament, (the only remaining openly transgender MP in the world) was elected in Poland. Since than many transgender people have the courage to show off and speak loudly and openly about their problems. Some undergo the very complicated process of changing the sex some others struggle to live a normal life caught in the body of a opposite sex.
*Transgender is the state of one’s gender identity (self-identification as woman, man, neither or both) not matching one’s assigned sex (identification by others as male, female based on physical). Transgender does not imply any specific form of sexual orientation; transgender people may identify as heterosexual, homosexual, some may consider conventional sexual orientation labels inadequate or inapplicable to them.
